The locations combine stunning walks with opportunities to relax

Walking holidays have surged in popularity - in fact, research shows nine in 10 Britons have expressed interest in combining hiking adventures with relaxation experiences. The traditional ramble through the countryside has evolved into something more indulgent.

Holidaymakers looking for a walking holiday often want to pair this with relaxation, and experts have shared the places which offer both.

Rather than choosing between active pursuits and relaxation, holidaymakers are now combining both elements into single trips. The trend has sparked particular interest in destinations that can deliver on both fronts, offering extensive walking routes alongside wellness facilities.

Cornwall emerged as the UK's premier destination for this new style of walking holiday, boasting 70 spas and 499 hiking routes across its scenic landscape.
