Ryanair has launched three new routes from Edinburgh Airport.

This is great news for Britons who hope to visit new destinations in 2024.

Head of aviation at Edinburgh Airport Jonny Macneal spoke to GB News about the new routes.

He said: "Adding new destinations means we’re offering new places for people to explore, and that’s something we always look to deliver.

“This summer our passengers can now investigate Bergerac, wander round the stunning city of Biarritz or bask in the sun in Agadir.

"It’s difficult to choose which one to visit so best to visit tick off all three!”

Bergerac is located in southwest France and boasts a beautiful old town which is home to both summer concerts and a Christmas market.

Biarritz, located on southwestern France’s Basque coast, is perfect for seaside enthusiasts. Cyclists, joggers and general meanderers will love Lac Mouriscot and Lac Marion.

Agadir, on Morocco’s southern Atlantic coast, is a resort destination brimming with bars, restaurants and golf courses.

Ryanair shared that the Edinburgh to Bergerac and Biarritz routes will start on April 2 and April 3, at £22 and £26 respectively.

Flights to Agadir will be on sale to fly from April 1, 2024. These will run twice a week on Monday and Saturday and start from £65.

The Edinburgh to Biarritz route will operate twice a week, on Monday and Thursday.

Managing director at City of Derry Airport Steve Frazer said: "We are thrilled to expand our route map with Ryanair and provide a much-needed service for our local catchment area across Derry City and Strabane, the Causeway Coast and Glens, Donegal and beyond."
