In need of some holiday inspiration? Experts have rounded up the most popular travel destinations for 2025, featuring common holiday destinations in the United States and Europe.
But it was Dubai that topped the list, proving the UAE city is continuing to rise in popularity.
This was detailed by experts at Titan Travel, who updated their Social Travel Index to compare the most iconic holiday hotspots in 2025.
The team pulled data from the most talked-about destinations across TikTok and Instagram, as well as the most searched-for destinations.

"The city has amassed over 141 million Instagram posts under #Dubai and nearly 40 million TikTok posts. On Google, it saw more than 310,000 searches for the term ‘holiday in Dubai’ in the past three years, with a 7.65 per cent increase in search interest."
Dubai has spiked in searches due to its white sandy beaches, year-round sun and luxury lifestyle and amenities. While it is a great holiday option, it is worth noting temperatures can become uncomfortable during the summer months, so it might be one to save for later in the year.
America also performed well on the list, with New York doing best of all. The travel pros continued: "Home to iconic landmarks like Times Square, the Statue of Liberty, the Brooklyn Bridge, and the Empire State Building, New York offers a perfect backdrop for social media posts.
"With an 8.37 out of 10 score, the city has moved up from 7th place in 2024 to the second-best destination. New York has over 144 million Instagram posts under its hashtag, making it one of the most shared cities in the world.

"Undeniably one of the most Instagrammable city escapes, the Big Apple has also racked up 11.8 million hashtags on TikTok while accumulating more than 202,000 Google searches for ‘holiday in New York’ in the last three years alone."
For staycations, one city in London also landed on the list, with London being recommended for a UK break. The holiday experts added: "Despite falling from second place in last year’s study, London stays in the top three, scoring 8.11 out of 10.
"There is plenty to explore, from its historic landmarks, such as Big Ben and the London Bridge, to its popular attractions, like the London Eye and Buckingham Palace.
"London is a global favourite among tourists, with an impressive 170 million Instagram hashtags and 16 million TikTok posts. The city has received 216,500 Google searches in the past three years for the search term ‘holiday in London’, making it a must-visit destination."
