Slow broadband? You can double your download speeds at no extra cost if you switch to Sky TV.
Yes, it's true. Sky is offering speedy 300Mbps full-fibre broadband for the same price as its 150Mbps plan — so you can unlock twice the download speeds at no extra cost.
At that speed, you can download a feature-length film in under 30 seconds in HD quality. Even in busy households, video calls should be buffer-free, and you'll be able to stream music and podcasts, watch via a video doorbell, and download the latest operating system updates to your devices at peak times without a noticeable dip in speed.
The deal sees Sky slash the prices of its Essential TV & Broadband package back to its "lowest ever price". Even better, the British broadcaster has waived its upfront fee too.
For £35 per month, you'll take delivery of Sky Stream — the latest set-top box released by the British broadcaster, enjoy access to its Essential TV bundle of over 100 channels, including Sky staples like Sky Atlantic, Sky Sports News, and Sky Sports Mix. You'll also be able to tune into BBC, ITV, Channel 4 and everything included with Discovery+.
Sky includes a Netflix Standard with Ads (worth £5.99) with every bundle. Already have Netflix? No problem, Sky can transfer your existing account with the viewing history and suggestion, so you won’t pay twice.
Double your download speeds at no cost with Sky TV bundle
For a limited time, Sky has resurrected its "lowest ever price" on its full-fibre broadband and Essential TV bundle. It doesn't cost a penny more than Sky's 150Mbps plan to double your download speed to an impressive 300Mbps. Out of contract, this same bundle of Sky TV channels, Netflix and Discovery+ subscription, and speedy internet could cost a whopping £64.50 — so this is some saving!

Of course, you'll also enjoy the speedy 300Mbps download speeds.
This full-fibre package comes with a guaranteed minimum speed of 200Mbps. If your connection fails to meet that threshold 3 days in a row in the last 30 days, you can switch your broadband package with Sky without any of the usual upfront fees, or cancel and switch to another provider with no early termination charges.
The latest Sky TV discount sees the "lowest price" return to the online store — and means there's no difference in price between the Sky Stream bundle with 150Mbps and 2x faster download speeds with the 300Mbps variant

Out of contract, Sky charges £43.50 for its 300Mbps download speeds alone, and a whopping £64.50 for the bundle with a Sky Stream set-top box, the Essential TV package and Netflix subscription — so this is a blockbuster deal.

Full Fibre 300 is available in 55% of all UK homes. You'll need to live in an area that's been upgraded to the latest fibre broadband infrastructure by BT-owned Openreach. The company is ploughing ahead with an ambitious goal to upgrade 25 million premises to full-fibre broadband by December 2026.
Earlier this year, the BT-owned firm revealed 17 million homes had been successfully upgraded to the speediest full-fibre internet connection. These next-generation connections offer download speeds up to 1,600Mbps.
Openreach works with over 650 individual service providers across its network, including Sky Broadband, BT, EE, TalkTalk, Plusnet, and many others. Since these brands all rely on the same underground cable running to your property, you can switch between these providers and access the same download speeds.
According to figures published by Ofcom, the average home broadband speed in the UK sits at roughly 73Mbps. If you upgrade to any of the 300Mbps full-fibre plans listed above, you'll enjoy 4x faster download speeds — meaning you can stream high-quality video, back up photos to the cloud, download software updates, and make video calls with friends and family anywhere in the world without any buffering.
If you're unsure about what broadband speed you need in your home. We've put together the average download speeds for an hour-long television show episode in Standard Definition (SD), roughly 450MB in size.
- 73Mbps, the average broadband speed in the UK: 54 seconds
- 150Mbps, the lowest speed available with most full-fibre packages: 24 seconds
- 300Mbps, the speed currently at its "lowest ever price" with Sky: 12 seconds
- 500Mbps, widely available from all full-fibre providers: 7 seconds
- 1Gbps (or 1,000Mbps) is not available from all broadband companies: 4 seconds
Data published by Ofcom reveals that over 7.4 million UK households are currently out of contract with their existing broadband provider and could switch to a new subscription with no fees.
