To celebrate the launch of the all-new Galaxy Book 4 range in the UK, Samsung is giving away its latest tablet

Samsung’s latest laptop range, dubbed Galaxy Book4, is now available to buy in the UK ― one of the first territories to get our hands on the lightweight Windows 11 notebook.

There are three different flavours of the standard Galaxy Book4 series: the entry-level Book4, the mid-range Book4 Pro, and the top-of-the-line Book4 Ultra. There's also a separate twist called the Book4 360 and Book4 360 Pro which, as the name suggests, can swivel 360 degrees so you can use the laptop like a tablet.

The all-new laptops enjoyed record-breaking sales in South Korea last month, outselling last year’s Galaxy Book3 range by 1.5x within the first week of sales, Samsung says.

The technology giant is hoping to see similarly record figures with its UK launch this month ...and to ensure the upgrade is even more appealing, Samsung will bundle a very generous gift.

If you order a Galaxy Book4 before 11.59pm on February 27, Samsung will include a Galaxy Tab S9 FE tablet worth £389 at no extra cost. The Samsung deal is available on all models of the Windows 11 laptop range, apart from the Galaxy Book4 360, which costs £1,199.

That means the most affordable Galaxy Book model that's eligible for the £389 freebie from Samsung is £1,799. That's not exactly pocket change, but if you sell the Tab S9 FE, that drops the cost to £1,410.

This tablet only launched in October last year and boasts a 10.9-inch screen with a smooth 90Hz refresh rate and support for the DCI-P3 colour gamut ― perfect for photographers. It supports the redesigned water and dust-resistant S Pen stylus for handwritten notes, annotating documents, drawings, or signing PDFs on the move. The S Pen magnetically snaps to the back for easy storage.

Samsung is only giving away the entry-level tablet with 128GB of built-in storage and Wi-Fi, so don’t expect to stream on the move via 5G like you’re able to do with some of the pricier models.

The Galaxy Book4 lineup is set to be the flagship laptop range from Samsung for the next year.

Powered by the latest Intel Core Ultra processors, Samsung has also fitted the laptops with its own dedicated Samsung Knox security chip that locks down critical system data separately. This is exactly how the Galaxy smartphones work, ensuring that sensitive data is never stored on the same silicon as your apps or operating system ― helpful when there are corrupt Android apps lurking in the Play Store.

Samsung lets you use its tablets as a second screen when working on a Galaxy Book4, a lightweight way to carry a multi-monitor set-up with you. You can even click-and-drag to move files between the devices ― so a photo you’ve taken with the Galaxy Tab S9 FE camera can be dragged into a Word document on your Galaxy Book4 laptop.

Galaxy Book4 Ultra and Book4 Pro models pack a Dynamic AMOLED 2X touchscreen display that should provide vibrant colours and deeper shades of black. Samsung has fitted a new Vision Booster mode to supercharge brightness in direct sunlight. Coupled with a new anti-reflective technology from Corning, the South Korean firm is confident that its laptops offer distraction-free use outside.

The Galaxy Book4 is available in either 14- or 16-inch screens. All models ship with Windows 11 Home Edition preinstalled.

On the side of these notebooks, you’ll find an HDMI, USB-A, microSD slot, and two Thunderbolt 4 ports for speedy 40Gbps data transfer. Sothere’s no need to pack a USB-C dongle to connect to an external monitor, television, or projector when on the road.

Speaking about its new range of laptops, President and Head of Mobile eXperience Business at Samsung Electronics, TM Roh said: “We’re excited for users to experience the intelligence, connectivity and productivity made possible by the Galaxy Book4 series, taking our premium PC lineup to the next level. The Galaxy Book4 series delivers the powerful performance and multi-device connectivity that consumers expect from a high-performance PC in today’s market.”
