Samsung's all-new Galaxy S24 phone series launched in the UK on January 31

  • Claim a pair of Galaxy Buds2 Pro (worth £219) and SmartTag2 (worth £34)
  • Freebies are available when you order any of the new Galaxy S24 models
  • Order before February 27 to claim the products, worth a combined £253
  • Buy from the Samsung store, or any number of other UK retailers

Samsung is giving away a pair of noise-cancelling earbuds and an item tracker worth a combined £253 to anyone who orders one of its brand-new Galaxy smartphones. For a limited time, you'll be able to claim a pair of Galaxy Buds2 Pro and a SmartTag2 tracker when you take delivery of a Galaxy S24, S24+, or Galaxy S24 Ultra.

And the freebies don't end there. Samsung is also giving away an entire year of Disney+ worth £79.90 to anyone who pockets one of its new Android phones, which were unveiled to a packed auditorium in San Jose, California on January 17.

Best of all, you'll be able to claim all of these — Galaxy Buds2 Pro in graphite (worth £219), Galaxy SmartTag2 (worth £34), and an annual Disney+ subscription (worth £79.90) — no matter where you buy your new Samsung handset. Simply head to this page on the Samsung site to start your claim.

That means you can order a Galaxy S series from Amazon UK, Currys, and, as well as a whole host of other UK retailers. The offer is also valid when you buy the Galaxy S24, S24+, or Galaxy S24 Ultra on a pay monthly deal from EE, Vodafone, Three, O2, Sky Mobile, Tesco Mobile, and many others.

As always with these deals, there is some small print. First off, you'll need to order your new Samsung phone before February 27, 2024 and submit your claim within 30 days. And unfortunately, you won't be able to pick the colour of your new wireless earbuds or smart tracker.

Although both of these items are available in a range of colours when bought from the Samsung store, you'll have to make do with the Graphite colour for the Galaxy Buds2 Pro and Black for the SmartTag2.

Galaxy Buds2 Pro are wireless 'buds with active noise-cancellation to erase distracting sounds from the outside world — so you can listen to music, podcasts, and audiobooks at lower volumes even in busy places. SmartTag 2 is a competitor to Tile and Apple's AirTags, enabling you to keep tabs on the location of your belongings using GPS. It has a built-in loop to easily attach to backpacks and luggage.

Galaxy AI is baked into every part of the phone and enables some clever new photo editing tricks, letting you adjust the position of your subject and expand beyond the borders of the original image, as shown in the animation above

If you missed the Galaxy Unpacked event, Artificial Intelligence (AI) is the headline new feature of all three Galaxy S24 devices from Samsung. Dubbed Galaxy AI, the clever new software can translate incoming phone calls in real-time, write text messages for you, summarise lengthy notes into bullet points, move the subject of a photo and erase unwanted people from the background.

Samsung has partnered with Google to launch a new way to gesture-driven way to search online. Dubbed Circle To Search, Galaxy S24 owners can long-press on the home button and then circle anything on-screen to search across the web. For example, you can circle the city skyline in the background of an Instagram post to find the location, circle a book cover to get shopping results, or circle an unknown actor in a Netflix show to find their IMDb page.

Some of these AI tricks are reminiscent of Microsoft's CoPilot Pro subscription, which costs £19 a month to use across Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel on Windows, Mac, and iPad.

All three models of the Galaxy S24 arrive with a guaranteed seven generations of Android upgrades – given that these handsets ship with Android 14, that means phone owners will enjoy an update to Android 21 in the 2030s. Samsung has also pledged seven years of security updates to protect users from hackers and glitches for years to come.

Galaxy S24 Ultra is the only model with a stylus housed in the frame, enabling you to make handwritten notes, sign PDFs, annotate screenshots, and doodle on-screen. It follows in the footsteps of the iPhone 15 Pro and uses a titanium frame, which Samsung says will enhance durability.

This flagship phone packs a quadruple-camera — another feature reserved for the pricier Galaxy S24 Ultra — with a massive 200-megapixel main camera, 50-megapixel and 10-megapixel telephoto sensors capable of 100x enhanced digital zoom, and a 12-megapixel camera for ultra-wide shots.

If you want to drop the price of the latest Galaxy S series even further, Samsung has supercharged preorder offers. You can unlock up to £370 off the Galaxy S24 or Galaxy S24+ when you part with your current phone, and up to £410 off the Galaxy S24 Ultra.

Of course, the exact amount of money off your new purchase will depend on the make and model of the smartphone you’re looking to trade in. For example, Samsung will discount your new Galaxy S24 by £230 when you trade in any model from the iPhone 13 line-up. That rises to £300 for iPhone 14.

Unsurprisingly, Samsung’s foldable Galaxy Z smartphones are the most valuable to trade in, earning you a discount of £440 for the Galaxy Z Flip5 and a whopping £590 for the Galaxy Z Fold5.

If you own an older Galaxy Z Flip3, you’ll get £170 off, while a Galaxy S22 will net you £240 discount.

The discount from your trade-in is applied at checkout immediately, so there’s no need to apply for a rebate or anything finicky like that.

Once you’ve listed the make and model, you’ll see the money vanish from the Galaxy S24 in your shopping basket. As soon as you’ve completed your order, Samsung will send out Freepost package so you can send off your current phone.

When the envelope drops through your letterbox, you’ll have a week to send the handset back to Samsung, so you'll have plenty of time to back up and transfer your messages, photos, apps, and SIM card over to the new smartphone. You'll need to erase the old phone before sending it off.

Samsung isn’t the only store offering preorders for the Galaxy S24 series.
