Coco Gauff displayed remarkable sportsmanship after Naomi Osaka retired due to a lower back injury during their China Open match on Tuesday.
The clash between the two Grand Slam champions ended prematurely with Gauff advancing to the quarter-finals.
Osaka had taken the first set 6-3 and was leading 4-3 in the second before her injury forced her to withdraw.

The American also reflected on her own performance, stating, "Overall I tried my best.
"It wasn't my best tennis.. It was one of those matches where you try your best each point."
