GB News sports commentator Paul Coyte has described the row between Gary Lineker, Alan Shearer and Harry Kane as "really no big deal" and said it has been built up into a "huge story."
Lineker and Shearer criticised the performance of the England football team at Euro 2024 prompting Harry Kane to speak out against the comments.
Coyte said: "So. England, Slovenia then tonight. I gotta tell you this whole thing about Gary Lineker and also Alan Shearer talking about Harry Kane.
"It's one of these things, it's built up into this huge story, but it really is no big deal. At the end of the day, you've got people like Gary Lineker and Alan Shearer.
"Yes, they're ex-England players, but the whole thing about them is that they're hosting a TV show and they're there to critique what's going on with England.
"So they said England weren't very good and they said it actually were very bad, which everybody agrees with. So there is no problem.
Paul Coyte said there was "nothing wrong" with what Lineker or Shearer said

"So I think the problem is, is that people are building this up and then asking the England team.
"Harry Kane then comes back and says, 'Well, you know what, if I was a player, if I was a critic in years to come, maybe I'd think more about what I'd say because I know what it's like.'"
"You know what? Harry Kane has just said the right thing. Just to keep everybody happy. There's nothing wrong with what he said.
"There's nothing wrong with what Gary Lineker said. There's nothing wrong with what Alan Shearer said.
"But the only thing that we do know that's wrong is the way England are playing at the moment. So the most important thing is that they need a big win against Slovenia because if they don't, everybody's still going to be on their back.
"But let's remember that they are likely to top the group. Then we'll go on to play on Sunday. Who it is we don't know yet because if you're second then you're out playing Germany and that's something you don't want to do in their backyard.
"But let's just hang on. Let's not get too upset because it's early days and momentum is the thing when it comes to tournament football. So we're going to go in that direction, keep the faith. Everything's going to be fine."
