This year's Super Bowl descends on Las Vegas with the Kansas City Chief and San Francisco 49ers in town.

Four-time Super Bowl champion Rob Gronkowski has advised players from both the Kansas City Chiefs and San Francisco 49ers to steer clear of the temptations on offer in Sin City for this weekend's NFL showpiece event.

The state-of-the-art Allegiant Stadium plays host to this year's Super Bowl in Las Vegas with LIV Golf also in town for a wild few days of sport.

The Super Bowl represents the pinnacle for any NFL player with the chance of becoming a legend for their respective team.

Gronkowski knows better than most what it takes having won four Super Bowls in his career.

But this is the first time the Super Bowl will be played in Las Vegas - a city known for it's infamous temptations.

Gronkowski has offered his advice to both teams heading into Sunday's clash, warning them to stay off the famous strip.

“Just being in the Vegas atmosphere, you can’t even sleep," Gronkowski said.

"Even if you’re staying sober, I swear. Like, you’re just fricking, like, energized.

“Hopefully, the players are off the strip, so they’re not dealing with that type of energy.

"Just stay calm, stick to your routine.

"Hopefully, everyone can just survive the week.

"Get an IV, drink a lot of water, drink a lot of electrolytes as well. Enjoy the time."

According to reports, 75 per cent of teams in the NFL have used IV fluids to help players before games.

On average, five to seven players per team use the pregame hyperhydration technique.

The 49ers are seen as the favourites heading into the Super Bowl, but Gronkowski believes the partnership of Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce gives the Chiefs the edge.

“They’ve been building that connection since day one that they became teammates … And they just keep building on it," he added.

"They’re amping up their game. They’re amping up their level of play every single year, week in and week out.

"And that’s why they’re staying at the top.

“You can just tell by the way they talk to the media, the way they carry themselves, the way that they just prepare week in and week out and the way they show up every single week out on the field, they can handle the pressure.”
