Michael van Gerwen has revealed he is regularly speaking to fellow darts star and close friend Vincent van der Voort for advice on his game.
Van Gerwen has already reached three tournament finals in 2024 and has started to build a rivalry with teenage sensation Luke Littler.
Littler has already played the Dutch star three times this year, beating him in the final of the Bahrain Masters in their first meeting.
Van Gerwen got his revenge over the teenager in the final of the Dutch Darts Masters in Den Bosch a week later.

Van Gerwen also reached the final of the Cazoo Masters in Milton Keynes last weekend, where he lost to Stephen Bunting.
The three-time world champion met Littler again in the final of night two in the Premier League on Thursday.
He got the better of the 17-year-old for the second match in a row, winning in the deciding leg to see out a 6-5 victory in Berlin.
Despite going deep in most of the competitions he has played of late, Van Gerwen has not felt on top of his game.
He says he has spoken a lot with fellow Dutchman Van der Voort to discuss where he can improve and how he can thwart his opponents.
Van Gerwen told Sky Sports: "Me and Vincent have been speaking a lot, Vincent van der Voort my mate, we've been speaking a lot.
"Sometimes my energy levels in certain games hasn’t been so great.
"Then you need find solutions - Where can I do better? Where do I leave my opponents too many chances?
"I know I have the ability, but you still have to produce it time after time.
“It’s the pressure, it’s the travel, it’s the whole lifestyle. Everything together has to be right.
"We’re working on that, and at the moment it’s working really well."
Van Gerwen was pressed further on his conversations with Van der Voort when speaking at his news conference.

He said: "Loads of things, we speak all the time and we try to make each other better.
"At the moment it really helps me and that's the only thing I can say."
Van Gerwen stoked the rivalry with Littler by claiming after his win that it was not 'special' to play him.
The 34-year-old has won the Premier League a record-breaking seven times and last year claimed he was 'bored' during the four-month event.

But he is now focused on performing every week as he attempts to qualify for the play-offs at London's O2 Arena in May.
Van Gerwen said: "Don't get me wrong, last year was also the first time we were playing this format. It was different.
"Now you get more used to it and also I need to put myself in a different mindset to make sure I don't go into nights too relaxed or 'Oh well, not tonight'. Do you know what I mean?
"So you need to make sure you keep on top of yourself and that's what I'm doing at the moment."
