The 19-year-old joined Borussia Dortmund from Birmingham City in 2020

England star Jude Bellingham will join Spanish giants Real Madrid from German club Borussia Dortmund in a deal worth around £86million.

Bellingham, 19, who played a leading role in England's World Cup run in Qatar, will undergo a medical at the Santiago Bernabeu in the next few days.

The midfielder will sign a six-year deal in the Spanish capital after being linked with several other top sides across the continent.

English clubs Manchester City and Liverpool were keen to snatch the ex-Birmingham City man.

However, Reds boss Jurgen Klopp revealed Bellingham would not be heading to Anfield after describing the big-money transfer as a "child wanting a Ferrari for Christmas".

The deal will make Bellingham the world's third-most expensive teenage player.

Since joining Dortmund, the midfielder made 132 appearances and scored 24 goals.

He was named Bundesliga Player of the Season for the 2022/23 campaign.

Bellingham has also earned 24 caps for the Three Lions and headed home his first international goal against Iran in England's opening fixture of the 2022 World Cup.
