The match at Old Trafford ended 2-2 on Sunday

Manchester United and Liverpool played out an entertaining 2-2 draw on Sunday as the race for the Premier League title took another twist.

Luis Diaz opened the scoring in the 23rd minute, with the Colombia international silencing the home crowd in the process.

United then looked like they'd be victorious after stunning goals from Bruno Fernandes and Kobbie Mainoo.

But Mohamed Salah scored a key penalty for Liverpool following a foul by Aaron Wan-Bissaka to earn his side a draw. The Reds will be frustrated by this result, however, and GB News now takes a look at three players who cost them victory at the home of their fiercest rivals.

Jarell Quansah

Liverpool have seen Jarell Quansah shine during his brief career so far.

But this was a day for the centre-back to forget.

Quansah gave the ball away in the build-up to Fernandes' goal, with the United star then unleashing an unstoppable effort over the head of Caoimhin Kelleher and into the net.

The Liverpool defender obviously has a bright future ahead of him.

Yet Jurgen Klopp's decision to start the 21-year-old ahead of Ibrahima Konate ultimately backfired.

Curtis Jones

Curtis Jones came off the bench for Liverpool with their match against United hanging in the balance.

But the midfielder lost Mainoo and failed to track the Red Devils youngster prior to his stunning effort.

Jones should have kept with Mainoo but a lapse in concentration cost his team, with Klopp visibly furious on the touchline.

Mainoo may only be 18 but is already a superstar in the making.

He's poised to be a huge asset for both club and country in the coming years ahead.

Darwin Nunez

Darwin Nunez has come on leaps and bounds for Liverpool this term, having previously struggled to adjust to life in English football.

However, despite his improvement, he's not the real deal just yet.

Nunez's lack of ruthlessness in front of goal is something he needs to eradicate if he's to become one of the best strikers on the planet.

He sent one effort crashing over the bar against United when he should have hit the target.

And with Nunez failing to cause problems for Harry Maguire and Willy Kambwala, it was no surprise to see his number come up in the second half.
