Manchester United defender Matthijs de Ligt has reportedly separated from his wife AnneKee Molenaar after just one year of marriage.
The couple, who wed in June 2024, had planned to hold a celebration party in Italy this month for friends and family.
However, Dutch outlet DenD reports the festivities were cancelled at the last moment.
A source close to the couple told the publication that their marriage is now "definitely over."

The 25-year-old footballer and his model wife had initially postponed their wedding celebration due to De Ligt's football commitments, including his participation in Euro 2024 with the Netherlands squad.
De Ligt has been holidaying separately from AnneKee, travelling alone to both Ibiza and Barbados in recent weeks.
According to DenD, whilst there was initially talk of the couple taking "some time for themselves," sources now confirm the relationship has ended.

The split reportedly stems from tensions over AnneKee's spiritual interests.

The couple first met in Amsterdam whilst De Ligt was playing for Ajax.
He proposed in 2023, with their wedding taking place on 9 June 2024.
The timing proved challenging, as AnneKee previously told Dutch Vogue: "At first, we planned to get married at the end of May, on our anniversary, but then it looked like Matthijs would make it to the Champions League final with Bayern Munich.

"So, we had to reschedule everything at the last moment."
De Ligt had to leave their wedding that evening to join the Netherlands squad for Euro 2024, while his £40million transfer to Manchester United from Bayern Munich occurred around the same time.
The defender made 42 appearances across all competitions during the 2024/25 season under both Erik ten Hag and current manager Ruben Amorim.
His off-field situation comes at a crucial time for United, as de Ligt plays a vital role in mentoring younger defenders given his continental experience with giants such as Ajax, Juventus and Bayern Munich.
His leadership qualities have become increasingly important following the departures of experienced players Christian Eriksen and Jonny Evans.
Amorim will be hoping the personal matters don't impact de Ligt's on-field contributions during what promises to be a transitional period for the club.
