The 17-year-old is the talk of world football following his sublime display last night

Lamine Yamal is dominating the back pages on Thursday morning after sparkling in Barcelona's 3-3 Champions League draw with Inter Milan last night.

The 17-year-old produced a wonderful solo goal as Hansi Flick's side battled back to leave the European tie in the balance ahead of the second leg in Italy next week.

Yamal tore up the European Championships last summer as Spain secured glory at England's expense.

And he's continued to dazzle ever since, with the youngster establishing himself as one of the brightest prospects in world football in the process.

Given his young age, Yamal isn't anywhere near Barcelona's highest-earners. Far from it, in fact.

The tenacious teenager currently pockets just £27,083-a-week - which is far behind the staggering £545,000-a-week that Robert Lewandowski earns.

According to Celebrity Net Worth, Yamal is worth £6million - which is remarkable given he's not even turned 18 yet.

The heir to Lionel Messi's throne is, however, expected to be given a bigger pay packet in the coming years ahead - especially given his importance to the cause.

Barcelona found themselves 2-0 down last night, with Marcus Thuram and Denzel Dumfries finding the net.

Flick's side came roaring back, however, with Yamal's excellent solo goal followed up by a leveller from former Manchester City star Ferran Torres.

Inter restored their lead when Dumfries struck for a second time in the 63rd minute.

But Yann Sommer's unfortunate own goal drew Barcelona level and leaves the tie in the balance ahead of the return leg next Tuesday.

Thierry Henry, meanwhile, has lavished praise on Yamal after his electrifying performance against Inter - insisting it's 'not normal' to be so good so young.

"What I witnessed tonight from Lamine Yamal … it's not normal to be like that at 17," said the former Barcelona and Arsenal star.

"I'm not talking about what he does when he's on the ball, his awareness, how calm he is, how he sees the game, the way he will defend, put pressure. It's just not normal.

"We talked about the 100 games that he already has at that age. It's just stupid, really.

"I don't even know what I'm watching, what I'm witnessing, but he played like a man possessed, and when I say 'a man,' he's not even a man yet, technically.

"It's just not normal."

He continued: "One thing that always amazes me in football is you always think that there's no way that someone is going to be better [than Messi or Ronaldo].

"And then Yamal arrives, and then you have a new guy in Argentina, [Franco] Mastantuono that plays for River Plate, already winning that derby game on the free kick against Boca Juniors.

"That's why football is amazing. There is a guy that soon, maybe in two to three years, that we're going to talk about that's not already on the scene, but it's crazy to think that a guy – he's 17 years old.

"[At] 17 years old, I made my debut, I think. It's just crazy what he's doing. It's just not normal, but look, it's great to see that there's a new guy coming, a new guy on the block that looks like he might be dominating, and I wish that for him.

"Let's not put him under pressure and say he should be on the throne or whatever."
