Jose Mourinho has aimed sly digs at former employers Chelsea and his old rival Pep Guardiola, with the iconic football boss failing to mince his words on either subject.
Mourinho, 62, has enjoyed a longstanding rivalry with Guardiola, particularly during their spells in Spain with Real Madrid and Barcelona respectively.
Guardiola is generally regarded to have the better of the head-to-head fixtures, but the El Clásico derbies between the pair always promised fireworks.
The rivalry proved to be so intense that it was reportedly the reason behind Guardiola’s year-long hiatus from management after he left Barcelona.

Mourinho, as ever, has not forgotten about the relationship between the pair and used a recent interview as the perfect opportunity to take another swipe at his former foe.
He said: “If you die with your idea, you're stupid. Coaches have to adapt their ideas to what they have.
“Playing from the back with a wooden goalkeeper is complicated. I remember Guardiola had [Joe] Hart, the best English goalkeeper.

“But he wanted Claudio Bravo, but that wasn't enough. So he signed Ederson.”
The digs didn’t stop there, as Mourinho accused his former club, Chelsea, of only attending the Club World Cup to “sell a lot of jerseys”.
He continued: “This Club World Cup also highlighted a kid who also had a great season at Chelsea, Cole Palmer.

“But this run to the semi-finals reminded me every time I went to the US for pre-season with Real Madrid, with Inter, it reminded me of those games we played there.
“So, I think this World Cup title is only important for Chelsea, as they'll sell a lot of jerseys with the logo there.”
The former Manchester United boss concluded by weighing in on Paris Saint-Germain’s historic season.
Under the stewardship of Luis Enrique, who also managed Barcelona to a famous treble in 2015, PSG won their first-ever Champions League trophy to complete their own treble.

Mourinho believes, despite losing 3-0 to Chelsea in the Club World Cup final, Enrique’s side remains the “big winners” this season.
He concluded: “I think PSG was the big winners this season, not because of what they did domestically, because they always win domestically.
“But winning the Champions League and the way they did, especially with the idea of losing their best player.”
PSG’s triumph marked Enrique’s second Champions League trophy, equalling Mourinho.
