Football manager Harry Redknapp's wife Sandra has been admitted to hospital, it emerged on Thursday.
Racing presenter Matt Chapman disclosed the news whilst discussing a race at Great Yarmouth Racecourse.
The 78-year-old was receiving medical care as her husband watched their racehorse compete from her hospital room.
Chapman revealed the information whilst commentating on King of Bears, a horse owned by the former Tottenham Hotspur manager.

No details have emerged regarding the nature of Sandra's condition or the circumstances leading to her hospitalisation.
The couple, who have been together since they were teenagers, recently celebrated 57 years of marriage.
During the broadcast from Great Yarmouth, Chapman offered well-wishes to Sandra whilst providing commentary.
"Sandra, if you're listening in - I think she wanted to watch Emmerdale, but Harry's making her watch this race - I really hope King of Bears runs well," he said.

The commentator explained that the 78-year-old former football manager was viewing the race from Sandra's hospital room rather than his own bed.
Chapman noted that their horse could be unpredictable, suggesting it might finish anywhere from first to last place.
King of Bears ultimately finished sixth in the contest, which carried 7/1 odds. The horse was ridden by jockey Jack Doughty for trainer George Scott.
The pair first met at a pub in East London in 1963 when both were just 17 years old. They went on to have two sons, Mark and Jamie, and several grandchildren.

Three weeks before Sandra's hospitalisation, Harry marked their wedding anniversary with a public tribute.
"Where does the time go? I would be lost without you Sandra," he wrote.
The couple co-authored a memoir titled "When Harry Met Sandra: Our Story" in 2022. During a television appearance that year, Harry shared his perspective on their enduring partnership.
"You meet somebody, and you fall in love, and we just never fell out of love," he said. "We just have a great time together and we love each other's company."
Reports have emerged that the veteran manager could return to reality television, with negotiations underway for an appearance on I'm A Celebrity All Stars.
The South Africa-based programme is scheduled for filming this autumn and broadcast early next year.

The couple recently relocated to a newly constructed Italian-style villa on Sandbanks in Dorset.
