The seven-time champion is struggling at Ferrari

Lewis Hamilton has revealed his written feedback to Ferrari is not a set of instructions as others have claimed, as he continues to struggle in Maranello.

The 40-year-old has endured a torrid opening half of the season, as his dream Ferrari move has not worked out as planned.

Hamilton has regular meetings with upper management at Ferrari as they aim to improve the car. The seven-time champion has been writing feedback to the team, but he insists it is not a set of instructions.

But that dream has not gone to plan so far, as Hamilton has yet to step foot on the podium in red, with his only joy coming with a sprint pole and sprint win in China, the second race of the season.

The feedback from Hamilton covered “engine for next year, front suspension, rear suspension” and “issues that I have with this car” – as well as “structural adjustments” to improve Ferrari’s overall performance.

“I have my way, which is different compared to Lewis, but that doesn’t mean I’m left out."

Both drivers will be looking to help improve the team through the summer break and into the second half of the campaign, as Ferrari aim to break their run without a championship that runs all the way back to 2008.
