Following his departure from Red Bull Racing, Christian Horner has taken to social media to showcase his new weekend pursuits.

The 51-year-old shared footage on Instagram featuring himself on horseback, navigating countryside paths.

The post included video of Horner riding through a rural lane, plus a photograph showing him mounted on his horse outside a stable building.

He captioned the content with "Different horse power this Sunday," a playful reference to his decades-long involvement with Formula One machinery.

Following his departure from Red Bull Racing, Christian Horner has taken to social media to showcase his new weekend pursuits

The lighthearted social media activity marks Horner's first public appearance since Red Bull terminated his position as team principal earlier this month, ending his two-decade tenure with the racing outfit.

Red Bull Racing terminated Horner's employment after he had guided the team for 20 years, during which they secured six constructors' titles and eight drivers' championships.

The dismissal follows approximately 12 months after allegations emerged against the former team principal.

A female staff member had accused Horner of sexual harassment and exhibiting controlling and coercive conduct in February 2024.

Two separate legal reviews cleared him - first through an internal inquiry led by a barrister, then when another legal professional rejected the complainant's subsequent appeal.

Max Verstappen secured his first victory under Red Bull's new leadership structure, winning Saturday's sprint race at the Belgian Grand Prix.

The four-time world champion executed an early move on pole-sitter Oscar Piastri of McLaren during the opening lap at Les Combes.

Laurent Mekies, who has assumed control of the team, praised the Dutch driver via team radio: "Well done, Max. Very, very impressive defence, very well controlled. You didn't leave anything on the table there."

Verstappen responded: "Thank you, Laurent."

Jos Verstappen offered a restrained assessment when questioned about the removal of his son's former boss at the Belgian Grand Prix.

The elder Verstappen, who had previously been an outspoken detractor of Horner, told Sky Sports: "They decided to change so I'm fine with everything. As long as it works."

When pressed about his 2024 remarks that Horner "needed to go," Verstappen Sr deflected, stating: "It's different. I have nothing to say."

It remains to be seen what happens with Horner and his future in F1.

There has been talk that he could potentially head to Ferrari, despite Fred Vasseur currently heading up operations with the Italian-based side.

However, that could cause friction with Lewis Hamilton - with the duo long failing to see eye to eye after so many years of competing together.
