Luke Littler will not be attending the Hungarian Darts Trophy

Luke Littler has made the last-minute call not to take part in the Hungarian Darts Trophy - and fans think they know why.

The darting sensation has had a very busy schedule in recent times, and won two tournaments in three days.

The 17-year-old was set to travel across Europe to compete in the Hungarian Darts Trophy where superstars like Luke Humphries, Gerwyn Price and Michael Smith will take part.

However, less than 24 hours before the tournament is set to get underway, Littler has decided to withdraw from the competition.

And fans believe they know the real reason why - ahead of the early access release of EA FC.

EA FC - previously known as FIFA - will drop the latest edition of its game this month with those who have pre-ordered being allowed early access this weekend.

As a prominent EA FC fan, there is every chance that Littler has already pre-ordered the game and fans reckon they have sussed him out.

One account on X wrote: "Luke Littler withdraws from the Hungarian darts trophy, due to be played the same weekend that FIFA 25 early access starts."

Another put alongside laughing emojis: "Littler withdrawing on the weekend of the new FIFA."

While a third posted: "First weekend of the new fifa and Luke Littler withdraws from the Euro Tour. Fully rate it I can’t lie."

Littler has previously talked about his love of the game and has even opened FUT packs on his walkout to the oche on previous occasions.

Earlier this year, the youngster, who is a huge Manchester United fan, spent large amounts of his prize money from tournament victories on FIFA packs.

Speaking to The Times, the darting sensation was asked what his team looks like and said: “My ultimate team? That’s what I spend my money on. Petr Cech, he’s good…

“This’ll go down well, then: [Vincent] Kompany and [Virgil] van Dijk at the back.

"Trent [Alexander-Arnold] at right-back. [Gianfranco] Zola, Thierry Henry, [Harry] Kane, [Michael] Essien. You’ve got to spend money to get that team.
