BBC journalist Stephan Shemilt said on X: "The video tribute to Jimmy Anderson at Lord's has somehow just been interrupted from audio of Wimbledon TV coverage played across the ground."
Fortunately, however, the mistake was brief with Anderson still sent off in the best way possible.
The England star admitted he was 'overwhelmed' by the reception he received, while also expressing his delight at being able to add four more Test wickets to his haul.
"I'm a bit overwhelmed actually," he said.
"I have been all week. Walking to the ground, taking to the field. The crowd, the players. It has been amazing. It feels really special.

Anderson dropped a catch on his farewell, with the England star admitting he was haunted by the incident.
"It would have been nice to get that catch. I should have got two hands to it," he said.
"It was an awkward height and didn't stick. But I'm just happy we got the win."
Anderson will stay with the England team for the rest of the series against the West Indies.

With the bowler out of contract at Lancashire, however, it's unclear what his plans for the future are.
Anderson says he will take time to reflect on his career and everything he's achieved, with the 41-year-old prepared to venture into unknown territory.
"It is difficult to know. I have never retired before so it is hard to think about how you will feel," he continued.
"It is good that I am sticking with the group all summer.
"We have a group of talented young bowlers who can have a great career at this level. So this is my job for the rest of the summer.
