The Seagulls earned a draw during a frantic showdown at the Amex Stadium
Brighton boss Roberto De Zerbi has weighed in following his side's 2-2 draw with Liverpool on Sunday afternoon.
The hosts took the lead in the 20th minute through Simon Adingra, rocking Jurgen Klopp's side in the process.
However, two goals in five minutes from Mohamed Salah then put Liverpool in the ascendancy.
Fortunately for Brighton they were able to earn a draw late on through Lewis Dunk, who expertly volleyed home from close range.

De Zerbi has, however, now risked the wrath of Liverpool fans by saying his team deserved to win.
"Really pleased for the performance," said the Spaniard.
"It is still a great result when you don't lose to Liverpool but if you watch the game and watch who played better I think we deserve more points.
"We concede two goals in the end of the first half I think because we are very young and we made two mistakes.
"It is not a problem.
"Brighton played with personality, with courage, with clear ideas and a lot of young players.
"Really pleased for the performance, for the quality of the performance. For the personality and the courage but if we improve in two or three things.
"To understand the situation can change, we could win.
"In this game, I think we played better and when we play like today, we can ask ourselves to win the game.
"We are trying to put inside the new players, like Adingra, like Baleba, Joao Pedro and Ansu Fati - it is not easy.
"We lost some important players like Mac Allister and now we have to find the balance.
"We have to find the same page for everyone and I think we showed character and the right attitude and things as important as the style of play."
Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp, meanwhile, felt his side didn't perform well enough to leave the Amex with all three points.
"I really like what they [Brighton] do," he said.
"Anyhow, if we are a little bit better today, and I think we could have been better, we should have won the game.
"In our good moments we didn't score enough and Brighton give us problems but they didn't create a lot.
"Each goal is frustration so who cares about how."
As for Dunk, the Brighton star was full of praise for how his side performed and thinks they showed great 'character' during the contest.
"I think we were the better side throughout and then we had a funny five minutes," he said.
"We have got to be better than that. We have shown great character to come back and get the draw.

"I gave the ball away cheaply and they capitalised on that.
"We have to keep improving, keep learning and get better.
"After the defeat [against Aston Villa last weekend] we have come back and got the draw today.
"It's just that final bit that the moment. We are a little bit off."
