Mike Tyson vs Jake Paul has come under fire from several boxers

Tommy Fury has vented his anger at the fact that the fight between Mike Tyson and Jake Paul is still going ahead.

YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul will face Tyson on November 15 at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.

That is despite the fact that the legendary boxer suffered a health scare earlier this year that saw the initial fight postponed from July.

Medical officers have proclaimed that Tyson is fit to fight but it has still garnered plenty of critics with the bout set to break the record for the biggest age gap in professional boxing.

Tyson is 58 years old, 31 years older than Paul, who is 27 and his longstanding nemesis Fury has hit out at the social media star.

"It's absolutely terrible," he told Boxing News.

"The man's 60 years of age, against a 26-year-old. It doesn't float my boat.

"Mike Tyson is the same age as my dad, like I think it's absolutely ridiculous. I'm not interested in that fight at all.

"He couldn't beat me, so he has to fight a 60 year old now. So, he's definitely gone in the right direction, let's say that."

Paul started his boxing journey in 2020, having made his fame on YouTube, fighting fellow social media star AnEsonGib.

The American has since fought former MMA stars, former NBA stars and Fury - winning 10 out of his 11 bouts.

However, his one loss came against Fury - the only boxer he has ever faced - with the younger sibling of big-name boxer Tyson coming out on top via split decision.

Paul is the slight favourite when he faces Iron Mike next month, though that is largely down to the age gap.

However, if Tyson can find the power that made him a household name in boxing, it could be a very quick night.

That is the verdict from boxing trainer Shane Mosley, who has worked with Paul and sent him a warning.

Mike Tyson and Jake Paul will fight it out in November

"If Mike really hits Jake, Mike can really hurt Jake, and I know what Mike can do and what Jake can do," he said.

"I don't think Jake really understands how hard Mike can hit. Mike is 58, but these are two-minute rounds and all fighters have pride. I don't think Mike will be going in there to lose to Jake Paul. Jake thinks he can take a shot.

"In the first five or six rounds, and what makes this so fun, is that getting hit by Mike Tyson is dangerous, very dangerous. Jake will have to tire Mike out. Jake will need to understand how these punches will come at him."
