Iron Mike will be returning to the ring for the first time in four years in July

Mike Tyson has left boxing fans stunned after sharing footage of himself punching ahead of his fight with Jake Paul later this year.

The two men are set to meet in Arlington, Texas, on July 20.

It will be Tyson's first fight in four years, with the 57-year-old previously drawing an exhibition bout with Roy Jones Jr back in 2020.

Iron Mike has taken to social media to show footage of himself punching pads in training.

He accompanied the footage with a message that read: “'Ready or not here I come.'"

And boxing fans have been left stunned by the clip, with one X user saying: "I’m genuinely in awe and at first thought footage could’ve been sped up in editing.

"But if that’s indeed IRL sparring speed, then there’s no doubt in my mind, thee former heavyweight world champ at his advanced age of 57yo just might have a shot at defeating a 27yo in his prime…"

Another opined: "Even at this age his punches are still so strong and effective damn."

A third said: "Sheeeeshhhhhhhh that’s crazy power still. My man hahahaha dammmmmmn."

Another said: "AHHHH!!!! I CAN’T TO SEE MIKE TYSON FIGHT AGAIN!!!Mike Tyson is the GOAT!!"

A fifth reacted to the clip by saying: "Looking great, wouldn't want to be Jake Paul right now."

And a sixth stated: "57 years old and the power in that punch looks unreal!"

Tyson has been criticised for choosing to fight Paul, who is a former YouTuber.

Yet he seems to be taking the contest extremely seriously, something that's evident due to his impressive physique.

UFC legend Randy Couture recently opened up on Tyson.

Speaking to talkSPORT, he said there was a 'little bit more at stake' for the boxing icon - while also saying he's as 'explosive as he ever was'.

“Even at 58 [Tyson is currently 57, and will be 58 by fight night], Mike is as explosive as he ever was and Mike’s firing on all cylinders now," he said.

"I think he’s going to be very tough to deal with for Jake, but it’s going to be interesting.”

He added: “I think there’s a little more at stake here for Mike.

"I think Mike sees some of these crossover fights and what’s going on, and how that’s affecting boxing and people’s perception of boxing.

"If you take him at his word, he wants to kind of straighten some of that rhetoric out.

“He’s saying ‘Hey this isn’t as easy as Jake Paul is making it look’ – he’s fighting for boxing in many ways, against a YouTuber and social media guy who has made his way up.

“Watching the training footage of Mike Tyson, you have flashbacks to him in his prime and that’s pretty scary, pretty remarkable.”
