Algerian boxer Imane Khelif will not compete at the Eindhoven Box Cup following World Boxing's recent announcement requiring mandatory sex testing for all athletes.
The Olympic gold medallist failed to meet the registration deadline for the tournament.
The decision comes just a week after World Boxing introduced the new testing requirements for competitions under their jurisdiction.
Khelif, who became a central figure in a gender eligibility controversy during the 2024 Paris Olympics, will miss the organisation's first event since implementing the policy.
Eindhoven Cup media director Dirk Renders confirmed the situation, stating: "The decision of Imane's exclusion is not ours. We regret it."
Imane Khelif has skipped the Eindhoven Box Cup
Imane KhelifKhelif's participation at the Paris Games occurred 18 months after she was barred from the Women's World Championships for allegedly failing a gender eligibility test.
The test, reportedly administered by the International Boxing Association, is said to have determined that both Khelif and Taiwan's Lin Yu-Ting possess male XY chromosomes.
Despite this, the International Olympic Committee permitted both athletes to compete based on their female passport status, sparking widespread controversy.

The alleged test results from New Delhi were recently published by 3 Wire Sports, with the document claiming chromosome analysis revealed a "male karyotype" - referring to an individual's set of chromosomes.
Khelif has consistently maintained she is a biological female and has not commented on the alleged report.
Local officials in Eindhoven have strongly criticised World Boxing's mandatory testing policy.
Mayor Jeroen Dijsselbloem condemned the decision in a letter to both the Dutch Boxing Federation and the International Boxing Federation.

"As far as we are concerned, all athletes are welcome in Eindhoven," the mayor wrote. "Excluding athletes based on controversial 'gender tests' certainly does not fit in with that."
He added: "We are expressing our disapproval of this decision today and are calling on the organization to admit Imane Khelif after all."
