Conor McGregor has been keeping a close eye on the boxing world in recent months.

Conor McGregor has confirmed he will be in attendance for the 'Day of Reckoning' blockbuster card in Saudi Arabia with both Anthony Joshua and Deontay Wilder in action.

McGregor has not fought since breaking his leg against Dustin Poirier in their trilogy bout back in 2021.

He had originally eyed UFC 296 as his comeback date to fight Michael Chandler, but that match has now been pushed back with the plan being for UFC 300.

McGregor appears in no immediate rush to get back into the octagon though as he's been mainly focused on following heavyweight boxing.

The Irishman was in Riyadh back in October to witness Tyson Fury's crossover bout with Francis Ngannou.

McGregor sat ringside as he witnessed Ngannou put Fury on the canvas before losing on the judges scorecard.

And he's now set to take in another night of heavyweight boxing in Saudi Arabia this evening.

The 35-year-old announced on social media that he would be flying out to Riyadh to watch the Day of Reckoning bill in person.

"See you there (Chairman of General Authority for Entertainment Turki AlAlShikh)!" McGregor posted on X.

"Thank you for my invite once again to the Kingdom, I cannot wait!

"McGregor has taken a keen interest in the heavyweight boxing division and spoke of his admiration for the fighters after watching Fury and Ngannou.

He said: "Heavyweight boxing is exciting, especially from ringside.

"That’s two I’ve seen ringside now, Anthony Joshua against the Finnish guy and now I've seen Fury.

"Some great fights in the boxing heavyweight division, it's on fire at the minute. Add Usyk into that, it's going to be a tough ask for Fury as well, but also add Ngannou into that.

"I wish them all way, fair play to them, it’s a crazy game and I'm off to the gym cause the Mac Daddy is coming home."
