The two men will fight in Saudi Arabia on May 18

Tyson Fury has given an emotional speech after being shown a video of his younger self ahead of his fight with Oleksandr Usyk.

The boxing star is currently preparing for the bout, which will take place on May 18 in Saudi Arabia.

Fury has faced criticism ever since his narrow win over Francis Ngannou back in October but is now ready to silence his critics in the Middle East.

The 35-year-old has now conducted an interview with Sky Sports when he was shown a clip of his younger self.

After joking with wife Paris about how different she looks, he commented on himself by saying: "What a young good looking, good looking lad I was, wow."

And Fury then proceeded to give an emotional speech, insisting he always believed he'd be a 'star'.

"I always believed even when other people didn't, I always believed I'd be a star," he said.

"I always believed I'd make millions of dollars for fights.

"I always believed I'd be heavyweight champion and the best fighter in the world.

"I always believed it and now I've achieved it. First you've got to believe it then you've got to achieve it."

On what he's learnt along the way, he paused for a moment before saying: "I think you live and learn from your experience, nothing happens overnight.

"Back then I wanted to Klitschko 10, I didn't get to fight him [until] years later, seven years after that.

"So I think good things come to those who wait. Nothing should be rushed."

He continued: "I always knew what I was capable of and what I was going to do.

"And I always said it to anyone who would listen, and now I've achieved it.

"And I'm one of them rare people who, from a kid, as a little boy I said the same thing and I achieved it.

"So I've got to be one of the rare few people who dream something as a child and actually achieve it as an adult.

"And still living my best life, living my dream life like I dreamed about when I was a child.

"I drew pictures, boxing kits, ring walks, designs everything.

"So it's been an amazing, amazing journey. And here we are now."

Fury's showdown with Usyk has the makings of a classic.

Both men are undefeated during their respective careers, only adding to the intrigue that surrounds the fight.

Fury is, however, confident that he'll become undisputed heavyweight champion of the world.

It will be his first showdown since his narrow victory over Ngannou back in October, with his performance that night failing to live up to expectations.
