The former cruiserweight champion says everyone has a price to fight

Tony Bellew admits he would enter a boxing ring again if he was offered the right amount of money to come out of retirement.

The 41-year-old has not fought since he was knocked out by Oleksandr Usyk in Manchester in November 2018.

Bellew has previously vowed to never box again, insisting he wanted a 'normal life' after his defeat to Usyk.

He said: "It’s definitely over now, you won’t see me in a boxing ring again. I just want a normal life, I don’t want this pressure."

However, the 'Bomber' says there is a price for anyone following news that Mike Tyson will fight Jake Paul.

Tyson has not fought professionally since 2005 and will be 58 at the time of the fight in July.

Bellew believes it is 'sad' that Tyson will fight at that age but says money talks.

And he conceded that he would do the same if offered the right package.

Bellew told spinbet.com: "It is sad. I don’t want to see Mike Tyson get hurt, he is one of my idols and heroes, I love Mike Tyson and I don’t want to see him get hurt, but I understand it because everyone needs to get paid.

"Everybody has a price and all of these people saying on social media why is he doing that, they also have a price and everyone in the world does and if the price is right then get on with it.

"If somebody offers me the right price, then I’m sorry to say that I am fighting again."

Bellew won 30 of his 34 professional fights, losing three and drawing one.

He beat David Haye in back-to-back fights at London's O2 Arena before his last bout against Usyk, who is now set to face Tyson Fury in a huge undisputed heavyweight clash in May.

Meanwhile, YouTube star Paul has won nine of his 10 fights, with his only defeat against Tommy Fury last February.

Bellew doesn't want to see Tyson get hurt and hopes it is 'a bit scripted' to prevent any serious injury.

He added: "I am worried about it personally but listen, you don’t know what’s been agreed between the two.

"It’s frightening that Mike Tyson is going back into a boxing ring against somebody who is more than 30 years older than him. It’s just a bit nuts.

"I’m hoping that the fight is a bit of a circus and a bit scripted because I wouldn’t want to see Mike get hurt in any way shape or form. Let’s see what happens.

"He is going to be getting paid an awful lot of money and nobody has the right to stop him from doing that.

"I hope Jake Paul gives him the respect he deserves, and I think he will, because if Mike kicks off then Jake Paul is in a really bad way.

"He’d pull his head off his neck."

Tyson and Paul will fight in Texas on July 20 and will be streamed on Netflix.
