The Princess of Wales's third annual Christmas carol concert aired on TV tonight

Zara Tindall appeared to offer to light Prince Louis' candle in a charming moment during the royal carol concert.

The Princess of Wales held her third annual Christmas carol concert at Westminster Abbey on December 8.

Dedicated to supporting those who champion the early years, the concert was a success with performances from the likes of Beverley Knight and Adam Lambert.

The carol concert aired on TV on Christmas Eve, showing an endearing moment between Zara Tindall, 42, and her cousin's son, Prince Louis, five.

At the beginning of the service, the congregation were invited to light their candles.

Zara could be seen nodding her head as she looked at Louis, who was sitting beside his mother, Princess Kate.

The wife of Mike Tindall held out her candle as she spoke to the five-year-old, appearing to ask him if he'd like his candle to be lit.

One royal fan replied to the video on social media platform X saying: "Zara offering to light Louis’ candle," with a teary-eyed emoji.

As this was going on, the Princess of Wales shared her own sweet moment with the Duchess of Edinburgh.

Sat next to each other, Kate and Sophie could be seen sharing a laugh as the princess placed her hand on the duchess's shoulder.

One royal fan said on X: "Love these two."

Another wrote: "All the royal lovelies."

A third commented: "Look at them, Catherine, Sophie, Zara and Beatrice," with a heart-eyed emoji.

Afterwards, Kate proceeded to light her youngest child's candle.

This comes as Prince Louis looked very excited to see actor Jim Broadbent read a poem during the concert.

The Together at Christmas carol concert aired tonight on ITV 1 at 7.45pm.
