King Charles has been issued a dire warning over the "unsustainable" nature of his public feud with Prince Harry.
The Duke of Sussex is the King's second son and has launched multiple attacks on the Royal Family over the last three years through TV interviews and his autobiography titled Spare.
Prince Harry stepped down as a working member of the monarchy in 2020 alongside his wife Meghan Markle.
A former staff member who worked for the King in their role has warned that there is a "strategic need" for a resolution in the bitter feud.
The Duke of Sussex is the King's second son and has launched multiple attacks on the Royal Family over the last three years through TV interviews and his autobiography titled Spare.

They told the Daily Beast: "It’s not sustainable for the King, who is the national symbol of unity, to be on such bad terms with his son that they haven’t been pictured together in years.
"Ultimately Charles has not just a personal but also a strategic need to resolve the issue."
It comes as a royal author told GB News that the first six months of King Charles's reign were overshadowed by Prince Harry's public attacks on the Royal Family.
Gareth Russell, who recently published his book titled The Palace, hailed how King Charles navigated the challenges of his first year as monarch.

Russell said: "I think the King has done extremely well. The opinion polls all indicate fairly consistent public support for him and the monarchy.
"He came into a very difficult position in that he was succeeding, not just the longest serving monarch in British history, but also one of, if not the most popular.
"So there were factors stacked against him. And then in the short term, of course, there was the very public, and at the time quite humiliating fallout with his second son.

Russel told GB News that the first six months of King Charles's reign were overshadowed by Prince Harry's public attacks on the Royal Family.

"A globally televised interview (that was before he became King) and then within a month of becoming King he had to deal with the Netflix documentary and the memoir, both of which I have to say were not particularly harsh on him."
The royal author continued: "But nonetheless, it did make it very difficult for him.
"It did mean a lot of his early months as King were overshadowed by the Duke of Sussex’s publicity.
"And so I think when you factor all three of those things together, it's been fairly remarkable to see how consistently popular Charles III has remained in his first year as King."
