The elegant dress is a recycled piece from her wardrobe, last worn by the Princess in 2022 during Queen Elizabeth's Platinum Jubilee celebrations.
Interestingly, the same dress is also owned by Princess Beatrice, Prince William's cousin.
Kate is known to be a longtime fan of the Self-Portrait brand, frequently choosing their designs for official engagements.
The Princess completed her look with an oversized hair bow, adding a touch of sophistication to her ensemble.
The Princess accessorised her outfit with a selection of elegant pearl jewellery.
Kate wore £45 Orelia London vintage pearl cluster clip-on earrings, which are currently out of stock.
She complemented these with a £275 Susan Caplan 1980s vintage five-strand faux pearl necklace, which she previously debuted on Holocaust Memorial Day.
The Princess of Wales completed her ensemble with a luxurious £4,080 Chanel classic square mini flap bag.
Her choice of vintage-inspired accessories perfectly complemented the classic cream dress, creating a sophisticated and timeless look for the evening's celebrations.
King Charles, Queen Camilla, Prince William, and the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh joined Kate at the evening concert.
The event marked the conclusion of the VE Day 80 commemorations across the United Kingdom.
Earlier in the day, Kate and William attended a service at Westminster Abbey, where the Princess wore earrings that belonged to Princess Diana.
For that occasion, she repeated a polka dot Alessandra Rich dress.
The royal couple later shared on social media: "Attending today's VE Day 80th anniversary service at Westminster Abbey was a powerful reminder of the courage, sacrifice and resilience of those who served."
The concert comes just days after Kate and Prince William brought their three children to watch the military parade and flypast from the Buckingham Palace balcony on Monday.
That family appearance was their first public engagement of 2025.
