King Charles has paused all public-facing duties while he receives cancer treatment

Queen Camilla led the Royal Family today in her first appearance back in the UK after jetting off on holiday.

The Queen has been leading the Royal Family in the absence of King Charles following the monarch's cancer diagnosis.

Camilla had a short break at the beginning of March to recharge after undertaking several royal engagements throughout February.

Today she represented King Charles at the Commonwealth Day Service at Westminster Abbey.

For the ceremony, Camilla, 76, looked elegant in a blue dress coat and matching hat.

She accessorised with an antique diamond and aquamarine brooch for the occasion.

The Queen was joined at today's service by Prince William, Princess Anne, the Duchess of Edinburgh, and Prince Edward.

Princess Kate, 42, did not join her husband as she continues to recover from abdominal surgery in January.

According to reports in the Mail, Kate had a "private appointment" and could not attend today's service.

Today was Prince William's first public appearance since Princess Kate took responsibility for editing her Mother's Day photo.

The Prince of Wales, 41, took the photograph earlier this week at Adelaide Cottage.

The picture showed Kate surrounded by her three children, Prince George, 10, Princess Charlotte, eight, and Prince Louis, five.

However, many fans pointed out the discrepancies in the photograph, and assumed it had been digitally altered.

Subsequently, several photo agencies recalled the picture over claimed it had been manipulated.

The princess took to X today to take responsibility for editing the photograph.

She wrote: "Like many amateur photographers, I do occasionally experiment with editing.
