The Prince and Princess of Wales stepped in to host the party in King Charles' absence

Princess Eugenie and Zara Tindall have stepped out in a show of unity alongside Prince Kate and Prince William as they attended a Buckingham Palace garden party on Tuesday evening.

Eugenie, the youngest daughter of Prince Edward and Sarah Ferguson, and Zara, the daughter of Princess Anne, appeared alongside the Prince and Princess of Wales.

The King and Queen did not attend the soiree as they were attending a different historic engagement earlier in the day.

Charles and Camilla visited Canada House today to mark 100 years since its opening in June 1925. The royal couple's visit comes ahead of their upcoming trip to Ottawa on May 26.

At the event the Prince and Princess of Wales also met the family of the late teenage photographer Liz Hatton, including her mother Vicky Robayna, her stepfather Aaron and her younger brother, Mateo.

Liz Hatton, who met Princess Kate at Windsor Castle in October last year, died of a rare form of cancer on November 27, 2024.
