Princess Eugenie has stepped in to support Prince Harry amid concerns over Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, according to a royal source.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, who moved to California four years ago, are now understood to have bought a holiday home in Portugal.
This happens to be where Harry's cousin, Princess Eugenie, lives with her husband Jack Brooksbank and their two children, August, three, and Ernest, one.
Brooksbank, 38, began working in marketing, sales and promotion for property developer Michael Meldman's Discovery Land Company in Portugal back in 2022.
A royal source claimed that Eugenie, 34, is keen for her two children to be close to Prince Archie, five, and Princess Lilibet, three.
This is because Prince William and Princess Kate's children, Prince George, 11, Princess Charlotte, 9, and Prince Louis, 6, are growing up in the UK, 5,455 miles away from Harry and Meghan in California.
The insider claimed: "Harry must know his children are not going to grow up as friends of William's children, George, Charlotte and Louis.
"A bond for Lilibet and Archie with Eugenie's kids will be the only royal friendship they will have.

"Most likely, August and Ernest are the only cousins they are going to ever spend time with.
"So time in Portugal, even just for holidays, means that Harry is keeping the only door to the Royal Family just a little bit open for himself and for the next generation, and raising them as royal children, at least in some way."
Prince Harry, 40, and his cousin Eugenie have always been close, evidenced by the princess's appearance in the Sussexes' 2022 Netflix documentary.
Eugenie and her husband visited the duke and duchess in Montecito two years ago.

"Both have suffered with an at-times difficult relationship with their parents."
