Mu'awwiz Anwar raised £5,500 for WaterAid doing a half Ironman triathlon

Princess Charlotte shared a sweet moment with Mu'awwiz Anwar, 8, who performed the men's singles final coin toss.

Prince George and his sister Princess Charlotte have joined their parents at the Wimbledon final this afternoon.


Before the highly anticipated contest between Carlos Alcaraz and Novak Djokovic began the royals were seen speaking with eight-year-old Mu'awwiz Anwar.

In footage shown on the BBC during the pre-match coverage, Princess Charlotte, 8, was holding the coin that would be used in the men's singles final toss.

The Princess of Wales has been the patron of the All England Club since 2016.

Once the young royals had taken a good look at the coin, Charlotte handed the coin back to Mu'awwiz Anwar in an adorable moment.

The All English Lawn Tennis Club Chairman Ian Hewitt nominated WaterAid as the charity to perform the coin toss.

The Wimbledon Foundation and WaterAid have been in partnership since 2017.

During those six years, the Wimbledon Foundation has donated over £1.5m to WaterAid.

WaterAid nominated Mu'awwiz Anwar to perform the coin toss and represent the charity.

Discussing the half Ironman triathlon, Mu'awwiz said: "The hardest part was the running because my feet get tired a lot and it is really hard for my legs."

He added regarding the final: "I can't wait to do the coin toss and actually see the players it will be amazing."
