Prince Albert also shared a sweet moment with his son and heir, Prince Jacques

Princess Charlene became emotional during a speech from her husband, Prince Albert, as he marked twenty years on throne.

The 47-year-old and her 10-year-old twins, Jacques and Gabriella, led other members of the House of Grimaldi for the extravagant celebrations.

Albert stood surrounded by his family as he delivered an emotional speech in French to the principality on two decades of his rule.

Turning to his wife and two children, the Prince said: “There is my blood family, of course: my wife, Princess Charlene, my children, Jacques and Gabriella. I thank them every day for their love and support.”

Charlene was evidently moved by the gesture as she could be seeing wiping away a tear as her husband spoke.

In another tender moment, Albert shared a kiss with Charlene’s cheek and planted another on his daughter’s Gabriella head.

The Prince looked down, clearly emotional, as closely embraced his son and heir, Jacques.

In his speech, Albert also spoke of the “considerable change” Monaco had seen during his rule.

In a call for unity, Albert continued: “We must be aware of how lucky we are, aware of the joy of living in Monaco, and aware of the strength of the ties that bind us.

For my part, I remain as determined, as motivated and as confident as I was 20 years ago,” he concluded.
