The royal stepped out in a beautiful dress from the brand, The Vampire's Wife

Princess Beatrice made a solo appearance at a friend’s party without Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi.

Beatrice once again demonstrated her loyalty to The Vampire's Wife by wearing a vintage gown from the defunct fashion label to a friend's birthday celebration.

The royal stepped out in the brand's signature Sky Rocket dress for Emma Pilkington's birthday party last weekend.

Edoardo, 41, was absent due to his work trip in Australia, where he travelled to promote his company, Banda Property.

Beatrice's shimmering navy maxi dress, featuring the label's characteristic ruffled trim and short sleeves, was pulled from her personal archive. She had previously worn the same gown to a 2023 event in New York.

For the weekend celebration, Beatrice paired the Sky Rocket gown with a glittering rainbow box clutch by Charlotte Olympia. The styling demonstrated her continued appreciation for the brand's distinctive aesthetic.

Princess Beatrice has established herself as a devoted patron of The Vampire's Wife's rich jewel tones and metallics over several years.

She selected a midnight Corduroy Festival dress for the BBC Earth Experience opening in 2023. The royal dazzled in a pink Toto gown during Queen Elizabeth II's Platinum Jubilee celebrations.

Her emerald-hued favourite from the brand has been worn on countless occasions, highlighting her particular affinity for the label's signature colour palette and luxurious fabrics.

The Vampire's Wife closed permanently in March 2025, but Beatrice's continued patronage of archived pieces ensures the brand's aesthetic lives on.

Her weekend appearance, photographed by Alice Naylor-Leyland and shared on Instagram, showcased how the princess remains committed to championing the label even after its closure.

The Vampire's Wife was founded by model-turned-designer Susie Cave in 2014, becoming renowned for its witchy, ruffle-heavy silhouettes and glimmering metallics. The brand achieved cultural prominence when three guests wore its iconic gowns to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's wedding.

The label reached its zenith when Princess Kate donned the emerald Falconetti dress during a 2020 Dublin trip.

Vogue later dubbed it the "dress of the decade", and the same gown was immortalised in Jamie Coreth's first official portrait of the Prince and Princess of Wales. Despite its royal connections and celebrity following, The Vampire's Wife shuttered in 2024.

A statement cited "upheaval in the wholesale market", with reports surfacing of difficulties with HMRC. Susie Cave thanked supporters with "undying gratitude" in her heartfelt farewell.

The Vampire's Wife's influence extended far beyond royal circles, earning praise from numerous celebrities.

Kate Moss once called Susie Cave "the most glamorous woman I had ever met", whilst Keira Knightley described wearing Cave's designs as "an occasion in itself, full of magic and decadence".

Florence Welch, perhaps the brand's most emblematic muse, praised the "subversive femininity" of the clothes, saying: "They seem to have walked out of a gothic fantasy. One that is entirely Susie's."

Tributes flooded in from famous fans, including Alexa Chung, Claudia Winkleman, and Sophie Ellis-Bextor, following the closure announcement.

Through Princess Beatrice's continued patronage of archived pieces, The Vampire's Wife maintains its cultural presence despite its commercial end. Her loyalty ensures the brand's distinctive gothic romanticism remains visible in royal fashion circles.
