Prince William continued his support for Grenfell survivors ahead of the sixth anniversary of the tragic fire that killed 72 people.

Britain’s future King met survivors and bereaved family members to hear how the fire impacted them, and how football is helping them move forward.

Loftus Road Stadium, the home of Queen’s Park Rangers, coordinated help and support in the immediate aftermath and the years since.

His Royal Highness met former QPR player and England striker Les Ferdinand and the CEO of QPR in the Community Trust, Andy Evans, to hear how funding has paid for community workers and youth workers.

Premier League legend Les Ferdinand was the driving force behind Queen's Park Rangers' response to the tragedy.

Community and youth workers, funded by the Trust, support those affected by the fire through mentoring, mental health support, and personal development.

Local residents, who have been involved in organising charity football matches, such as Game 4 Grenfell and the recent Grenfell Memorial Cup, are also expected to meet The Prince of Wales.

The Grenfell Tower tragedy is one Prince William has continued to support in its aftermath, and today's engagement is understood to have been very important to him.

Just two days after the fire broke out on 14th June 2017, The Prince accompanied his grandmother, the late Queen Elizabeth II, to meet emergency workers and survivors of the tragedy who had lost everything.
