Prince Harry’s disputes with members of the Royal Family have taken their toll on the Duke of Sussex, according to a source.
The Duke of Sussex took a key step to rebuilding his relationship with his father when he met with King Charles for the first time in over a year and a half last week.
Harry is putting to bed his feelings of being wronged in order to reconcile with the monarch, according to an insider .
The source told Hello magazine: “He would like a relationship with his father. There's no doubt about that.

"I don't think he's completely dropped the idea of feeling that he has been wronged in certain ways by the institution, but he would rather the opportunity for reconciliation.
“With the passing of time, everything softens, especially when close family members are ill; that focuses the mind somewhat.
“He's willing to be a bit more at peace with things, rather than battling constantly. It's taken its toll."
In a fresh interview, Prince Harry said he is focusing on King Charles after their reunion last week.
On Wednesday, the Duke of Sussex spoke with his father face-to-face for the first time since February 2024.

However, Prince Harry revealed that his priority is rebuilding his relationship with King Charles over the next year.
The royal told the Guardian in an interview after his meeting with the King: “The focus really has to be on my dad.”
Harry did not meet with his brother, Prince William, last week as no ground has been made in repairing their broken bond.
The Duke of Sussex's public criticism of Princess Kate and Prince William in his 2023 autobiography Spare led to the royal couple cutting contact with the Duke of Sussex.

The Duke of Sussex has made multiple solo appearances in England over the past two years, but he has previously stated that he does not feel safe bringing his family to the UK.
He said in May 2025: “(I) can't see a world in which I would bring my wife and children back to the UK at this point".
However, the royal has outlined that Archie and Lilibet’s return to the UK in closer than ever.
Prince Harry told the Guardian regarding the prospect of bringing his children to the country of his birth: “I would. This week has definitely brought that closer.”
