The Duchess of Sussex has not joined Prince Harry for his four-day visit to the UK this week

Prince Harry recommended two Netflix series during an engagement on Monday evening but he did not mention his wife’s lifestyle programme.

The Duke of Sussex is back in the UK this week for a four-day visit where he is undertaking multiple public-facing engagements.

The royal told a member of the audience at the WellChild Awards that he and Meghan had just finished watching Hostage on Netflix.

Harry said: “My wife and I just finished watching Hostage. It's very good, it's filmed here. If you haven't seen it, you should watch it.".

He added: "Although if it's unsuitable, it wasn't my recommendation!"

Additionally, the Duke of Sussex recommended the dating show Love is Blind during his appearance at the WellChild Awards.

Last month, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle confirmed, alongside Netflix, that their partnership will continue with new projects on the way.

The extension of the creative partnership through Archewell Productions will include a multi-year, "first look deal for film and television projects".

Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, said: "We're proud to extend our partnership with Netflix and expand our work together to include the As Ever brand.

"My husband and I feel inspired by our partners who work closely with us and our Archewell Productions team to create thoughtful content across genres that resonates globally, and celebrates our shared vision."

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex signed a highly lucrative deal with the streaming giant in 2020 after stepping down as working members of the Royal Family.

The agreement, valued at £75m over five years, had an expiration date of 2025 and the new deal is on greatly reduced terms.

As part of the deal, the streaming company is also advancing their partnership with Meghan's lifestyle brand As Ever and extending the current product range.

Netflix's Chief Content Officer hailed Meghan Markle's products for "selling out in record time" when the company announced the extension to their partnership with the Sussexes.

Bajaria said: “Fans have been inspired by With Love, Meghan, with products from the new As Ever line consistently selling out in record time.

"We’re excited to continue our partnership with Archewell Productions and to entertain our members together."
