The Duchess of Sussex will not attend King Charles's Coronation on May 6

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle could pull a last-minute stunt ahead of the Coronation, a royal commentator has claimed.

Tom Bower told GB News that the Duke of Sussex may reverse his decision to come to the historic ceremony just days before the Coronation.

The royal biographer also criticised the King for playing into Meghan and Harry's hands.

He said: "I think there is more to come.

"She's the master of the unexpected...so I'm sure that when Harry is here, or just before he arrives, something else will come out of California.

"And unfortunately, it'll overshadow what the Coronation is meant to be about."

Bower also suggested Prince Harry may not turn up to the Coronation due to being seated in a different area than senior members of the Royal Family.

He said "I've always suspected that [Harry] didn't want to come.

"I didn't think he would come and I think he's looking for an excuse not to come because quite clearly he has been put back into the guest list area of the Abbey rather than the front.

"I suspect he'll look for an excuse until the very last moment not to come.

"And that'll be the stunt they'll pull.

"If Charles had dealt with it properly weeks or months ago, we wouldn't be hanging on to whether Meghan and Harry are coming or not.
