Prince Harry has arrived in Germany for the Invictus Games without his wife Meghan Markle after he paid tribute to the Queen.
The Duke of Sussex, who founded the sporting event for wounded and injured servicemen, travelled to Dusseldorf for the opening ceremony.
It comes just a day after the prince attended a private memorial for his grandmother Queen Elizabeth II on the first anniversary of her death.
He was spotted leaving St George's Chapel in Windsor yesterday which had been unlocked especially for his private vigil.

Harry spoke about the Queen at the WellChild charity gala in West London on Thursday.
He told the audience: "As you know, I was unable to attend the awards last year as my grandmother passed away.
"As you also probably know, she would have been the first person to insist that I still come to be with you all instead of going to her.
"And that’s precisely why I know, exactly one year on, she is looking down on all of us tonight, happy we’re together continuing to spotlight such an incredible community."
Today, pictures have emerged of Harry wearing a black T-shirt stood the middle of a group of volunteers.
The Invictus Foundation posted a photo of the team group shot on their social media account.
He is set to open the Games today before Meghan is expected to join him there on Monday.
However, the Duchess' appearance is in doubt after she was reportedly deleted from the media schedule.
Prince Harry has made a surprise visit to St George's Chapel on the first anniversary of Queen Elizabeth II's death.XMeghan was reportedly due to host a segment about the competitors, but sources claim the information was included in error.
This week will see more than 500 competitors from 21 countries take part in the games which includes archery, swimming and wheelchair rugby.
Up to 100,000 people are expected to attend the games which will close with a speech from Harry.
