Prince Harry “mortally wounded” King Charles, with a royal insider warning clear red lines would need to be established before any hope of reconciliation.

The Duke of Sussex’s relationship with his father has seemingly deteriorated since the father-of-two stepped back from royal duties and relocated to California.

However, the 74-year-old monarch is reportedly open to holding talks with his youngest son.

The King is seemingly hoping to iron out the issues but “draws the line at public slanging matches”.

An insider told Bella magazine: “The King loves his son very much but he has been mortally wounded by what he has done.

“He will always be there for him but draws the line at public slanging matches.

“If the talks take place, the King will make it very clear that there will be absolutely no private family business discussed in public moving forward.Staff are trying to fine-tune the details.”

Prince Harry has taken aim at the Royal Family after deciding to part ways with the Firm.

The Duke of Sussex was last week spotted stopping off in the UK ahead of his trip to Germany for the Invictus Games.

The Prince was home for less than 24 hours as he attended the annual WellChild Awards on September 7.

Harry is not believed to have met with any of his family members during his brief stay.

King Charles was in Scotland the following day as he marked the first anniversary of Queen Elizabeth II’s death.

The Duke of Sussex is now in Germany where he will play a major role in this year’s edition of the Invictus Games.

Harry received a standing ovation as he stepped on stage and later spoke to the audience in German.

The Invictus Games have been identified as a way for the Duke to rebuild his reputation as his support continues to flounder in the opinion polls and after Spotify cut ties with the Sussexes.
