Prince Harry has been dragged into the Princess Kate photo scandal as Omid Scobie issued an attack on the Royal Family.

The biographer of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex took to social media to discuss the Prince and Princess of Wales's Mother's Day photo that sparked a storm.

The photo, which was taken by Prince William, showed Kate and their three children, Prince George, 10, Princess Charlotte, eight, and Prince Louis, five, at Adelaide Cottage.

It was the first authorised photograph of the Princess of Wales since her abdominal surgery in January.

However, the picture contained several digital alterations which were picked up by fans online.

Multiple photo agencies later recalled the shot of the Wales family due to the manipulation.

The Princess of Wales, 42, took responsibility for editing the photo today.

She wrote on X: "Like many amateur photographers, I do occasionally experiment with editing.

"I wanted to express my apologies for any confusion the family photograph we shared yesterday caused.

"I hope everyone celebrating had a very happy Mother’s Day. C."

Scobie, who is known to have links to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, took to social media platform X to bring the Duke of Sussex into the photo scandal debate.

He wrote: "It’s fair to say that most photos released by the offices of public figures have been retouched in some way, so *if* this was an isolated incident then it would just be an unfortunate error.

"But with the Palace’s long history of lying, covering up, and even issuing statements on behalf of family members without their permission (cc: Prince Harry), it’s becoming increasingly difficult for the public to believe a word (and now photo) they share.

"Gaining that back at this point is an almost impossible task."

In his Netflix series Harry & Meghan, the Duke of Sussex claimed the Palace issued statements without his knowledge.

Harry said that after a meeting with his brother, father, and Queen Elizabeth II, in which they discussed the terms of his move away from royal duties, he was "told about a joint statement that had been put out in my name and my brother's name squashing the story about him bullying us out of the family".

He added: "No one had asked me permission to put my name to a statement like that."

The statement read: "Despite clear denials, a false story ran in a UK newspaper today speculating about the relationship between The Duke of Sussex and The Duke of Cambridge. For brothers who care so deeply about the issues surrounding mental health, the use of inflammatory language in this way is offensive and harmful."

Harry continued to say during the documentary: "The saddest part of it was this wedge created between myself and my brother, so that he's now on the institution's side."

The duke said when he heard about the statement in his name, he called Meghan, who "burst into floods of tears because within four hours [of the news report], they were happy to lie to protect my brother, and yet for three years, they were never willing to tell the truth to protect us".
