The Duke of Sussex has updated his official business records in this country to say he resides in the US

Royal commentator Angela Levin has claimed that Prince Harry changed his country of residence the same day that he was "thrown out" of Frogmore cottage.

This comes as The Duke of Sussex has updated his official business records in this country to make it clear that he no longer lives in Britain.

The duke also appears to have backdated his official American residency to the day he was booted out of Frogmore Cottage, in what seems to be a swipe at his family in the UK.

Speaking to GB News, royal biographer Angela Levin explained that Harry did this because he was "furious."

He said: "Yes it's a huge change because of how he'll be treated in the UK, the obligations are far fewer and diminishing as we speak.

"I think he said that because, again, he's so furious with how he thinks he's been so badly treated. The date that he had it changed was last year.

"He filled in the forms last year, but they were only released yesterday. But he actually did them on the day that he and Meghan had to leave Frogmore Cottage that they rented from the Royal Family."

She added: "So they think, and newspapers as well have said, they've been thrown out [of the cottage], but actually lots of people get a time of a year to say, to use a flat or to use a home.

"So I think that's just being nasty about the Royal Family."

The Royal expert also said that "it will make it harder to be looked after by the police" when he visits the UK, which could be a problem for Harry as he took the security issue to court a few months ago after it was removed when he quit being a senior royal.

Levin said: "I think it's actually that he's so angry with us in the UK and so angry with his family.

"It's the sort of remains of Spare where he feels he's just been so badly treated.

"I think it's a nasty thing to do. I don't think he'll be happy doing that because he did say, and he said many times before, London is my home.

"I love it and it will always be that way. I think he's done it just to say na-na-na-na in words.

"I don't see him being very happy. He's a very sad man and nothing is quite right.

"I think it will be something that he feels he has to do, not really want to do."

It is believed that before being asked to leave, Prince Harry wanted to keep a base in his home country. He now lives in California with his wife Meghan Markle and his two children.
