Sarah Robertson claims Scobie's new book will drive a 'deeper wedge between Harry and William going forward'

Royal Biographer Omid Scobie's latest claims have been slammed by royal and entertainment reporter Sarah Robertson, ahead of the release of his new book Endgame.

The book, set to be released on Tuesday by the close ally of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, has unveiled a fresh set of claims against the royal family.

Some of the claims penned by Scobie include the reveal of a 'second' royal family member making comments on Meghan and Harry's son Archie's skin colour, and the royals being told 'not to trust' Harry after the release of his tell-all memoir Spare.

The book is also said to claim ongoing rifts between King Charles and Prince William, and Princess Kate and Meghan Markle.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle left the royal family in 2020 to seek a more 'private' life, stepping down as working members.

Since their exit, a huge rift between Prince William and Harry has been paramount, with several royal experts claiming there is "no sign" of a reconciliation between the brothers.

Discussing the claims made by Scobie in his book, royal and entertainment reporter Sarah Robertson told GB News that the latest set of accusations may do even more damage to their relationship.

Robertson said that the "gloss" which covers the royal family has been damaged by Spare and Endgame.

Robertson told GB News that the Duke's association with Omid Scobie does "irrevocable damage to Harry".

She added: "He's just started to have a thawing of relations with his father, King Charles. There was a warm phone call received just on the King's birthday between the two men, which was heartening to to hear about and know about. But yes, this is definitely going to have an impact.

"I was speaking to a source who speaks to Queen Camilla last week and I was told that they see the book as rubbish, basically in the politest possible term, and that it has been hurtful to them to hear some of the extracts that are coming out, particularly some of the allegations that have been levelled against Prince William, Harry's brother.

"So all that's going to do is drive a deeper wedge between Harry and William going forward. Again, it will have damage to their relationship."

Robertson then criticised the "contradictions" between Omid Scobie and the Sussexes, and called for the royal couple to "make a statement" and distance themselves from him.

She claimed: "Omid has now become perceived as what's seen as an official mouthpiece for the Sussexes. Now this is a claim that he denies, he says that he's not, that he doesn't act for them, that he doesn't speak for them, that he doesn't represent them.

"But we obviously saw in the court case between Meghan Markle and Associated Newspapers where she suddenly piped up and forgot that she had maybe corroborated with Omid on his first book, which was about the two of them. And so you see there's these contradictions from Omid and from the Sussexes.

"But unfortunately for the Sussexes, they are now irretrievably linked to him by virtue of that first book, Finding Freedom, whether they like it or not. So the two of them would have to come out and make a public statement to say that they don't speak to him, that they have nothing to do with him, that he's not a representative of theirs."
