This represents virtually no improvement since his disastrous appearance on BBC Newsnight in November 2019.

Opposition to stripping the Duke's titles is notably stronger amongst certain demographic groups. Those against such a move are more likely to be Conservative voters and those aged over 50.

The polling was carried out last week, coinciding with the publication of damaging claims about the Duke in a new book.

Author Andrew Lownie's biography, "Entitled: The Rise and Fall of the House of York," contains explosive allegations regarding Prince Andrew.

Prince Andrew's favourability ratings have remained static for nearly six years, showing no signs of recovery from their historic lows.

Following his controversial television interview in 2019, the Duke withdrew from royal duties.

The late Queen Elizabeth II removed his military appointments and severed his connections with charitable organisations.

The Duke's dispute with King Charles regarding his Royal Lodge home has stalled.

The monarch pushed for his brother to relocate and downsize from the Windsor property he occupies with his former spouse, Sarah, Duchess of York.

Several pathways exist for removing Prince Andrew's various honours and titles. Parliamentary action is one avenue.

In 2022, York Central MP Rachael Maskell introduced a Private Members' Bill seeking to grant monarchs the authority to revoke titles.

Sources suggest Parliament would be the preferred route for any future action, ensuring the monarchy operates within modern governmental frameworks.

LATEST ROYAL NEWS:

Whilst the current King has maintained his mother's tolerant stance, royal observers suggest the Prince of Wales may adopt a different approach.

Christopher Wilson, a royal biographer, stated that the future monarch will take a different approach from both his grandmother and father regarding his uncle's controversial position.

Wilson told The Telegraph that whilst the late Queen Elizabeth II maintained her famous policy of public silence on family matters, and King Charles has continued this tradition of handling disputes privately, William would likely abandon such restraint.

The royal commentator stated Prince William has "hard-nosed ideas about how the Royal Family needs to appear in the frenzied social media world we now inhabit, and I think will be ruthless."
