The disgraced Duke is insistent he remains an active senior royal

Prince Andrew is claimed to have been told by King Charles “there is no chance” of the Duke of York helping to run some of the Royal estate.

It comes after the Duke was told to leave his 30-bedroom Royal Lodge in Windsor as part of the King’s planned royal budget cuts.

The 63-year-old had offered to look after some of the prestigious Royal estates, including Balmoral Castle, in order to forge a new role for himself within the Firm.

But a source claims he was told “there is no chance of that happening”.

The insider also revealed Andrew pleased with his older brother for an increased responsibility.

“Andrew is insisting on having a job despite being made to stand down from his duties and now he's being kicked out of his home,” the royal source told The Mirror.

They say, however, that the King completely disagrees and “has told him straight, there is no chance of that happening.”

It comes after Harry and Meghan were told to vacate their Frogmore Cottage home, with reports suggesting that house had been offered to Andrew.

But the disgraced Duke said he does not want to leave his current home, despite admitting he is concerned he will be unable to afford to stay there if the King reduces his £250,000-a-year grant.

Andrew has lived in his 30-room mansion for 20 years, and is not keen to move away from the 98 acres of land.

The Duke is set to lose his funding from Charles as part of serious budget cuts within the royal finances, having already sold off assets such as a £19million ski chalet to help cover the costs of settling the sex scandal case with Jeffrey Epstein victim Virginia Guiffre.

As a result of the case, Andrew was forced to quit his royal role.

Nearby Frogmore Cottage, which Harry and Meghan moved into after their wedding in 2018, is not seen by the Duke of York as a suitable alternative.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have rarely used the property, but did stay there for the late Queen Elizabeth’s Platinum Jubilee last year.

After the couple moved to California, Andrew’s younger daughter Eugenie and her husband were given use of the property, but royal sources say they have since moved out.

It is a Grade II listed two-storey, stucco-faced house sitting in the north of the Frogmore Estate on the Windsor Estate.

The estate is the site of Frogmore House, a beautiful 17th century manor which has been a royal residence since 1792.
