British consumers hoping to purchase Meghan Markle's new rosé wine have been left disappointed as the product launched exclusively in the United States today.

The Duchess of Sussex's lifestyle brand, As Ever, released its first alcoholic beverage, a 2023 Napa Valley rosé priced at £24 per bottle, at 4pm BST.

GB News understands the wine is currently unavailable in the UK, with no immediate plans for British distribution.

A source told the People's Channel that Meghan is aware of the worldwide demand for her products and will continue to assess the brand's consumer shipping and fulfilment strategy. The source confirmed that As Ever is conscious of the global interest in the brand.

The launch timing meant British consumers discovered the wine's availability during their afternoon, only to find they could not place orders.

The brand has not announced when UK shipping might become available, leaving British fans uncertain about when they might be able to purchase the duchess's latest offering.

The rosé, which the brand describes as offering "soft notes of stone fruit, gentle minerality and a lasting finish", can only be purchased through the company's newly-launched American website.

The 750ml bottles contain a proprietary blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Mourvèdre, Grenache and Syrah grapes, with an alcohol content of 14.5 per cent.

Sold exclusively through Wine.AsEver.com, customers must purchase in sets of three for £72, half cases for £127, or full cases for £240.

As Ever characterises the "Provençal-style" rosé as "sophisticated, dry, and refreshing", designed for "summer's best moments from lunches that turn into dinners and sun-drenched weekends where the only thing louder than the music is the laughter".

The brand promoted Monday's launch on Instagram with an image of the bottle chilling in an ice bucket.

The wine represents As Ever's third product launch since the brand officially debuted in April.

Previous releases proved remarkably successful, with the first selling out in less than an hour and the second disappearing within 10 minutes.

The Duchess of Sussex personally curated what As Ever calls "a bespoke blend" that was "just in time for summer entertaining".

The rosé marks the beginning of the brand's wine collection, with plans for a Méthode Champenoise Napa Valley sparkling wine in the near future and additional varietals to follow.

The brand first announced its wine offering on 20 June.
