Meghan Markle's "priority" is centred in the US as the Duchess of Sussex "flourishes", a royal commentator has exclusively told GB News.
The Duchess of Sussex stepped back as a working royal in 2020 and settled in the US with Prince Harry.
The mother-of-two was born in Los Angeles but now lives in Montecito with Prince Harry, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.
In a new interview, the Duke of Sussex confirmed he would not bring his wife back to the UK, where they lived between 2018 and early 2020.
He said: "[The media] pushed me too far. It got to a point where you're damned if you do, you're damned if you don't."
The duke added: "All it takes is one lone actor, one person who reads this stuff, to act on what they have read...
"And whether it's a knife or acid, whatever it is.
"These are things that are a genuine concern for me.
"It's one of the reasons why I won't bring my wife back to this country."
Prince Harry is due to return to the UK in 2027 for the Invictus Games in Birmingham, however, Meghan's presence is hanging in the balance.
She regularly accompanies the Duke of Sussex to major celebrity events in the US, the most recent being the ESPY Awards in Los Angeles.
Gareth Russell, a royal commentator, spoke exclusively to GB News about Meghan's "priority" being centred in the US.

He said: "I don't think it's a surprise to see the Duchess of Sussex at a big celebrity event.
"Obviously, that's the world of circles she helps to flourish in America. That is her priority.
"And I also think regardless of anything that's gone on, she is his wife, it's perfectly natural and correct for spouses to turn up to big nights to support one another."
