Meghan and Harry have been left off the guest list of a royal gathering to commemorate the one-year anniversary of the Queen’s death.
The pair have not been invited even though they are scheduled to be Europe for the Invictus Games at the same time.
King Charles and Queen Camilla will lead the tributes to the monarch’s mother on September 8 at Balmoral, where Her Majesty passed away.
Harry and Meghan, who packed up for the US in 2020, are due to kick off the Invictus Games in Düsseldorf, Germany, 24 hours after the commemoration to the Queen.

They could easily be in the UK before the games began, but there has been no invite extended to them, sources have said.
“There hasn’t been any outreach to them”, a source commented.
The King and Queen will arrive at their beloved Scottish estate on August 21, where they will have a three-week holiday.
They will be joined by many royals, including Charles' eldest son William, along with his wife Kate, and their three children.
Prince Andrew and his ex-wife Sarah Ferguson will also be in attendance.
The King appears to have buried the hatchet with his brother Andrew, who was stripped of his ‘His Royal Highness’ titles last year.
With many royals up in Scotland in the upcoming weeks, it is uncertain whether the Sussexes will see any of them.
The pair no longer have a permanent home in the UK, after the King evicted them from Frogmore Cottage.
"If they are not included in any of those plans they will find a way to mark the significance in their own way," a source stated.

Meghan stayed behind when Harry attended the Coronation of his father, where he sat without his wife in the third row at Westminster Abbey.
The Duchess chose to remain at their home in Montecito to celebrate their son Archie’s fourth birthday.
Harry then caught the first available plane back to California, missing a post-Coronation gathering at Buckingham Palace.
The Sussexes visit to Germany in September will be their first joint appearance in Europe since Queen Elizabeth II's funeral.
Buckingham Palace has not formally announced how the family will spend the anniversary of the late monarch’s death.
